Housing Officer

YMCA Essex is currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to work at their Housing Project in Colchester.

The Housing Officer role is 20 hours a week on an 8am – 8pm Monday to Friday rota basis and is based in Colchester. The role is initially for a fixed term of one year. Your time will be spent supporting tenants towards independent living by assisting them to claim benefits, learn about successful budgeting, eating well and keeping themselves safe and healthy. You will also interview prospective tenants, carry out room
checks, attend appointments with the young people as and when necessary, take an active role in resident engagement and support the management team.

Sessional Support Worker

YMCA Essex is currently recruiting for Sessional Workers to work occasional hours at their Housing Project in Colchester.

YMCA Chelmsford Trustees (voluntary appointments)

YMCA Chelmsford is passionate about building lives, hope and futures for children, young people and families. We serve the needs of our local community providing a nursery, out of school & holiday clubs, youth training, family support work & youth work.

We are seeking to appoint trustees to strengthen our Board as we expand our work. We are especially looking for people with experience in capital fundraising projects.

Board meetings take place every 6-8 weeks, for 2-3 hours – a commitment of approximately 8 meetings per year, plus additional Board training and sub committees as needed.
