Welcome to YMCA Essex
YMCA Essex is an inclusive Christian charity rooted in local communities and working with people of all faiths and people of none to meet the needs of children, young people and their families, and supporting them so they can develop and grow and achieve their goals in life.
Our work includes a nursery for babies and children aged 3 months – 5 years, Out of School Clubs, holiday programmes, youth groups, supported housing for young people, training, conference and meeting rooms, young carers, support for school pupils and their families, and behavioural and attendance support.
UPDATE: Following Tier 4 restrictions in Essex, our Nursery will remain open but all Out of School Clubs will be closed from 4 January 2021, with a view to reopening once schools have reopened. Please check back on this page or our social media pages for the latest updates.

Staying COVID-19 Secure in 2020
YMCA Essex have complied with the government’s guidance on managing the risk of COVID-19.
– We have carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment and shared the results with the people who work here
– We have cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance
– We have taken all reasonable steps to help people work from home
– We have taken all reasonable steps to maintain a 2m distance in the workplace and where people cannot be 2m apart, we have done everything practical to manage transmission risk.
