Our youth clubs are designed to help young people make new friends, develop physical, mental and social skills and most importantly, have lots of fun! The groups run every day of the week in different areas of Essex and each group has a variety of sports equipment, music, games consoles, arts and crafts etc.

We believe that every child should feel safe, confident and valued whilst in attendance. We try our best to have the same youth workers in each group to maintain trust, consistency and respect.

Our groups follow 3 rules; Be kind, Be respectful, Be honest.

Our youth groups are run by members of our team who have training in first aid and safeguarding, they also have an enhanced DBS with YMCA Essex.

We run several youth clubs during the week, covering an age range of 7 – 17. They are as follows:

Great Baddow Youth Group


Our Great Baddow Youth Group takes place on Mondays (term-time only) from 5pm to 7pm.

YMCA Young Carers Youth Group


Our Young Carers Youth Group takes place on Wednesdays (term-time only) from 5pm – 7pm.

The Galleywood Youth Centre


Our Galleywood Youth Group takes place on Thursdays (term-time only) from 4.30pm – 6pm.

YMCA Myland


Our Myland Youth Group takes place on Wednesdays (term-time only) from 6.30pm – 9.15pm.

YMCA St Stephens Church


Our St Stephen’s Church Youth Group takes place on Thursdays (term-time only) from 6.30pm – 9.15pm.

South Woodham Ferrers


We are excited to share that a new youth group in South Woodham Ferrers will be starting on 19 September 2023.
