Get your moustaches on, take part in Chelmsford parkrun’s 5k run and fundraise for YMCA Essex on Saturday 27 April!

Join us as part of Chelmsford parkrun for the Great Moustache Run in association with the Mayor of Chelmsford – moustaches obligatory! and finish the 5k course. Join hundreds of people and fundraise for YMCA Essex whilst registering for parkrun and getting your result certified!
What is the Great Moustache Run
A fundraising 5k fun-run in aid of YMCA Essex and our work with disadvantaged children and young people locally, the day is suitable for everyone, with no time limit. Moustaches – real or fake – obligatory! So feel free to hop, skip, jump, walk or even dance your way around the course before collecting your medal from YMCA Essex at the finish line to the tune of the legendary song!
By participating, you will be supporting our work at YMCA Essex with some of the area’s most vulnerable people, helping them to realise their potential and supporting them on their journey from homelessness to independence.
There is no minimum amount to raise, but every pound can help young people in crisis to thrive.
What is Chelmsford Central parkrun?
Parkrun is a free, fun and friendly 5k community event. For the Great Moustache Run, YMCA Essex are partnering with parkrun who are kindly allowing us to join and run their course – all whilst wearing moustaches and raising funds for YMCA Essex! Everyone runs at their own pace.
It is free to join but it is essential to register before you first come along, but you only ever register once. You must bring a scannable copy of your barcode in order to receive your final run time to share with YMCA Essex and the Great Moustache team!

0850 Parkrun give a ‘First Timers Welcome, explaining what’s involved and what you need to do to get your time

0900 Chelmsford parkrun sets off! Complete the course and receive your YMCA Essex medal! After the event, provide us with your time via parkrun’s barcode
