Charity of the Year
We are honoured to announce that the new Mayor of Chelmsford, Councillor Linda Mascot, has selected YMCA Essex as her Charity of the Year for 2023/2024.
The announcement was made at the Annual Full Council Meeting this evening, Wednesday 24 May 2023, attended by our Chief Executive, Andy Drake and our Head of Finance, Suzanne Bowden.
Andy Drake, Chief Executive said, “We are delighted that our charity has been chosen for this wonderful opportunity and we are looking forward to working with The Mayor to host some fun and engaging events that will help promote the good work that we do, celebrate the young people we work with and raise vital funds for the charity that will help us with our overall mission, which is to help young people experience brighter futures.”
We would like to congratulate Councillor Mascot on her new appointment as Chelmsford’s Mayor.
